Simon Halsall is an award-winning writer, director, editor.
He is a Screen Daily ‘Star of Tomorrow’ in development on a number of feature-length productions.
He has written screenplays for ACE Pictures (Clemency, Daniel Isn’t Real), Sixteen Films (I, Daniel Blake, On Falling), Agile Films (Femme, Beast), B&C Content (The Gangster, The Cop, The Devil), and legendary J-Horror director, Hideo Nakata (The Ring, Dark Water).
He has a documentary about North Korean refugees in post-production with Intermission Film (The Last Sacrifice).
He has directed music videos for artists such as Jamie xx, Novelist, Mumdance, and Koreless.
Aside from editing his own work, he has cut televised commercials for clients such as Mercedes, Audi, Royal Mail, Pepsi, as well as film trailers for Fremantle, Picturehouse Entertainment, Film Four, and more.
